It wouldn’t take too long for any of us to think of ways to get noticed in the business world. I’m not talking about loudly burping in a restaurant! Getting noticed in a negative way is not what we’re after.
Recently, I’ve been “dieting” on Seth Godin’s marketing blogs and videos. He’s written a book on “Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable” . I’m especially taken with being “remarkable”- not in the sense that we walk around doing things that tag us as being weird, but turning our thinking around and breaking away from the traditional patterns our brains have been used to for so many years.
The big question is: “What are you doing with your business that’s remarkable?” In other words, “What are you doing that people will remark about, notice, and remember (in a positive way)?”
If you keep on doing what you have been doing, you’re bound to get the same results that you’ve been getting.
Go out there, keep on solving people’s problems, be the leader in your industry, and be remarkable!
